One of the things I love most about the Iowa City area is how our communities connect. You might live in one city, work in another, and head to a neighboring community for dinner, a ballgame, or an afternoon outdoors. Each place offers something a little different, and together, they make this a special place to call home.
Iowa City, Coralville, North Liberty, Tiffin, and our surrounding communities each have their own identity, local favorites, and pace of life. While they are independent cities, experiencing the area as a whole gives you so much more to discover.
That’s what inspired me to create Iowa City Area Living, an independent guide that brings helpful information about our connected communities into one welcoming space.
Why I Created Iowa City Area Living
As a local real estate professional, I believe sharing information is an important part of serving a community. My work is about more than properties. It’s also about helping people understand their options, feel comfortable in their surroundings, and find the places and resources that fit their everyday lives.
But getting to know an area can take time. Information is often scattered, and knowing where to start isn’t always easy…. especially when you’re looking beyond a single city.
I wanted to make that discovery easier.
Iowa City Area Living brings community information, housing resources, everyday essentials, things to do, and opportunities to get involved together in one place. It’s a starting point for exploring the area, making connections, and finding helpful information without having to begin a new search for every question.
For Those Who Live Here and Those Who Will…
This site isn’t just for people planning a move. It’s also for those of us who already call this area home.
Even when you’ve lived somewhere for years, it’s easy to settle into familiar routines. There may be a nearby community you haven’t explored, a local resource you didn’t know about, or a new way to get involved that makes living here even more meaningful.
For those considering a move, my hope is that this guide helps you picture everyday life here. Not simply where you might live, but how you might spend your time, meet people, and begin to feel at home.
And for those who have recently arrived, welcome. There’s a lot to discover, and you don’t have to figure it all out at once.
Take a Look Around
I’m proud to be part of this community, and I’m grateful for the people and places that make it what it is. Creating Iowa City Area Living is my way of sharing that appreciation and helping others explore what’s here.
Whether you’re putting down roots, considering a new chapter, or simply looking for something different to do this weekend, I hope you’ll find something useful and something that makes you excited to explore a little more.
This is a special place. I’m happy to call it home, and I’m excited to share it with you.
